In early 2000, Marge Rice began rescuing original old photographs, specifically ones featuring unique information on the back, from antique shops and private collections across the United States. After researching the people named in the photos to verify names, dates and locations, she posts the data on genealogy surname boards in hopes of finding family members who will treasure the original photos. She's titled the project "Faces From the Past" and has over 2,000 photos yet unclaimed.

As of May 2013, Marge has successfully reunited 1974 photos with 1405 family members. That progress can be tracked via the "Marge-O-Meter" located at by clicking here.
